This defines how Programme completion is assessed and what the certificate represents — so that the credential is meaningful and consistent.
1. What the Certificate Represents
The Certificate of Completion recognises that a participant has met the Programme's standards for attendance, discipline, and demonstrated growth. It is a certificate of completion and achievement, not an externally regulated qualification, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2. Completion Criteria
- Attendance — at least 80% of scheduled sessions.
- Routine adherence — consistent completion of tracking sheets across the Programme.
- Milestones — agreed goals progressed or met.
- Conduct — adherence to the Community Rules throughout.
- Final review — completion of an end-of-Programme review with a coach.
3. Levels of Recognition
| Level | Standard met |
|---|---|
| Completion | All core criteria met |
| Merit | Core criteria + strong, consistent performance |
| Distinction | Core criteria + exceptional growth and leadership |
4. Certificate Contents
- Participant's full name.
- Programme name and cohort/dates.
- Level of recognition.
- A brief statement of what was achieved.
- Signature of the Founder / Programme Lead and the Bernardine Ltd seal.
- Unique certificate reference number for verification.
- Where applicable, the referring/funding council's acknowledgement.
5. Issuing and Verification
Certificates are issued within 14 days of completion. Each carries a unique reference recorded in our register so authenticity can be verified on request. Records are retained per the Data Retention Policy.
6. Re-issue and Appeals
Lost certificates can be re-issued on request. A participant who narrowly misses a criterion may appeal or be offered a route to complete outstanding requirements.
