Attention is the asset. This SOP defines how participants manage devices, notifications, and online time so that technology serves the work rather than steals from it.
Principle
Every notification is a request for your attention. Discipline means you decide when to grant it. This SOP establishes default rules so that focus is the norm, not the exception.
1. Device Rules
- First 30 minutes / last 60 minutes of the day are phone-free.
- Phone is out of sight during deep-work and session blocks.
- Notifications off by default; only calls from emergency contacts break through.
- Greyscale mode encouraged during work hours to reduce pull.
2. Social Media
- Consumption is time-boxed (e.g. 30 minutes/day) at a set window, not throughout the day.
- No infinite scrolling during work blocks.
- Create more than you consume — post intentionally, not reactively.
3. Communication
- Check messages in batches at fixed times rather than continuously.
- Use the official Programme channel for cohort communication; keep it on-topic per the Community Rules.
- Expect replies within agreed hours — not instantly. Urgency is a choice, not a default.
4. Online Conduct
Participants represent themselves and the Programme online. Conduct must be lawful, respectful, and consistent with the Brand Usage Guidelines. Do not share other participants' information or session content without consent.
5. Safeguarding Online (under-18s)
For participants under 18, all digital communication with coaches takes place through approved, monitored channels — never private one-to-one messaging. Coaches must never contact a young person through personal accounts. See the Safeguarding Policy.
6. AI Tools
Use of AI tools is permitted within the bounds of the AI Usage Policy.
